Language Issues at DLRP

I can get by with Spanish but not with French. I am wondering what language issues to expect at DLRP for English speakers.

I noticed that the Lion King show has dual showings. But that is the only thing I have found. What about things like the Le Pays des Contes de Fées which have narration? Also what about "Moteurs... Action! Stunt Show Spectacular" which sounds like it also has narration?

You'll have no problems with language as many CM's speak English. As reported in the past a few Mercis and s'il vous plait will go a long way

You'll have no problem. It is really amazing how they can mix the languages together.

There is no narration for many attractions! And if there is one (like POTC or PM) then it is always a mix between English and Frensh. And for the most shows they use headphones (with Engl. German, Spain and Italien) or the carry the meaning and the feelings of the show without words!

For things like the Moteurs.......Action! Stunt Show they have 2 presenters.
One says "(something very complicated in French that I don't understand)"
The other says "That's right we are going to see some incredible stunts. Firstly let's meet the director....blah blah"
So they sort of translate for each other, while trying to make the conversation flow.
Same thing with the commentary on the Studio Tram Tours.

We always try a few please and thank yous in French, as well as good morning goodbye etc.
When I queue for a ride like POTC and the CM asks "combien?" I always answer in French but then hold up 4 fingers in case my pronunciation is so bad they haven't understood.

Hi, In answer to the question about being understood in DLRP, I was embarrassed by my poor grasp of French as all the people I came into contact with spoke English far better than I did!

My daughter was welcomed into the Studio park with ''Bonjour mon petit Princesse'' , something we will never forget and possibly the only fully french phrase we heard in the 4 days! Bonjour and merci are really the only french words you will need.

All the shows have an English translation, and from what I saw of the parades in the Christmas season, the music etc is beautiful irrespective of the language.

I have never found this to be a problem, I always say Bonjour, Merci & au revoir which as others have said it goes a long way.
