Does anyone have a bathing suit from Land's End? Do they run true to size? I need a long torso bathing suit and Land's End is one of the places that actually carry them. Just wondering if people had thoughts on them?

I have not bought anything but Lands End suits for quite a few years - I love them that much! I too need the long torso. Every suit they make holds up so well, they really last without wearing out and we have a pool at our house so I use them a lot. Love them for the kids too. Just a tip....try looking at the overstock swimsuits, I almost always get mine there rather than paying full price!

A have a couple Lands in swimsuits. I will say this, they hold up well! Even swimming everday didn't fade them.

I did have some trouble with the sizing though. I found that the one piece swimsuit I ordered was to small, I ordered my true size, I exchanged that one for a larger size. I also ordered a tankini, and it was to big! I had to exchange it for a smaller size than I normally wear.

So, if you don't mind "finding" the right fit, they are definatly worth it!

Can you return to Sears if they don't fit? I would actually buy it at Sears but my local Sears down not carry the long torso suits. Right now, I only have one swimsuit (GASP!!!) that makes me happy (fitwise) and I am now swimming for exercise and washing it frequently...so it's wearing out! :sad1: So I really need to get a new one soon.

I only order Land's End long torso suits - I have found them to be very true to size for me. Mine also have lasted a long time - they are really high quality. I'm so glad they sell them because it is very hard for me to find long torso suits!! I was hoping now that Sears is carrying some Land's End items they would have some - but our local Sears only carries a very small selection and no long torso suits.

I have a very long torso. Not even Lands End one-pieces are comfortable. I have to wear their tankinis, which are wonderful.

I'm also quite puzzled by their sizing. In Land's End tailored trousers, size 4 a wee big. Yet, in bathing suits, I have to buy an 8.

Before I had DD, tankinis were always my swimsuit of choice. So much easier to deal with the long torso issue. But post c-section...I can't do tankinis anymore (well I could wear them but I wouldn't be comfortable). If I could find a tankini that would fit a long torso person (meaning that the top was nice and long and wouldn't show a BIT of my belly), I would do it.

I have a lot of tankini's from Land's End - none of which expose my middriff! Even pre-kids I wasn't comfortable with my stomach showing, so Land's End suits work great. I would definitely suggest trying them out - I actually find them to be a little more "forgiving" than one piece suits.

I'm in the "process" of buying my Land's End bathing suit, this will be my second year buying one from them... I have a somewhat long torso, but I am not a fan of the long torso suits they sell (the colors really, the styles seem fine).

I bought the mix and match double strap top and the mini swim mini, and the top is too small both in length (which isn't shocking due to my longish torso) and width! And I am skinny on top, and this size 6 top is too tight all around. Weird! I like the mini swim mini though, it's a size 6 and fits well.

So just the other day I placed my second order-this time I'm trying out the adjustable bandeau top. I figure it might work because I can adjust the length! I went ahead and ordered a size 6 and a size 8 so I can try both.

Also, I ordered the sleeveless cover up-it goes for around $22. Well I ordered a size small and it is WAY too big! I'm sure it's meant to be a bit big for ease of use, but it is sooooo wide on me. So I ordered a size xs and we'll see how that works.

Once I figure out which pieces fit me, I'll return everything I don't need.

:)

Love Lands End suits - like others said, they really hold up well. But I do think they run small...especially if you're...umm...a well endowed gal like myself, LOL! In that case, I find the ones with the built in bras to be less than generous for me (they're probably perfect for a B or C cup). But boy they are SOOOO comfortable! I have a "tugless tankini" and it is truly tugless, LOL!

I just tried some at Sears, and they ran quite small. I actually had a hard time getting them on at all, and I was trying a 12, and usually I can wear a 10. You can order them at Sears with no shipping if they don't have what you want, and you can also return them there if you order online.

Love um! Had two that lasted me two years and I was in the pool almost every day! Flatter every figure type. YEs, the sizing may be off from what you wear normally, but buy what fits, forget about the number, and you'll be happy!

I just bought their tugless tank for summer. I wear size 14 jeans, but needed an 18 in the tank. I really love this suit, though. Super comfortable and flattering. Sears is a huge help- you can try on stuff in the store to figure out size, then order a different color or size (if needed) from lands end while you are there with free shipping to your home. You can also return items from Lands End at sears.

I haven't owned a swimsuit other than Lands End in 8 years. They fit so well! I agree about the sizing. I currently have 4 of them, all different sizes. My advice is to find one style you like and order it in 2 or 3 sizes. Once you get your order total above a certain amount, shipping doesn't increase and you can take it back to any sears store. I am plus sized and LE suits flatter me (as much as any swimsuit can, lol) and are not too revealing. I especially like them in the bust and underarm area. Again, not too revealing and very supportive.

I love Lands Ends bathing suits. Pretty much all I have bought in the last few years. At 5'10" I need the longs and they fit and wear great. I usually try to snatch up the overstocks to save a bit of $. They can get pricey. They also cover what they are supposed to, even swimming in the ocean.

Lands End suits are the only ones that seem to fit me. I haven't even bothered to try any other brands on in many, many years. I, too, think the suits run small. And it's convenient to just run them to Sears if you need to make a return.

I have tried on several of the LE long torso suits and cannot find one that's long enough. I would like a tankini, but they are all too short. I don't like to show skin between the top and bottom. I think it looks funny. Anyway, their suits always look so cute in the catalog but just don't fit me right.

Good luck! :thumbsup2
