I have these for the second year and they are great - very comfortable and hold up well. The only thing I HATE is I can't figure out how to clean them. Anybody have them who has solved this problem. I have put them through the washer and tried soft scrub bleach with a toothbrush. Nothing works. :guilty:

I dont have that particular shoe, but Mr Clean Magic Erasers are great for cleaning up shoes.

Jackie, you must be reading my mind. I have those sandals for my children. My sons are black so there is no problem. My daughters are pink. They are filthy. I am trying everything and nothing seems to work. I have the magic eraser and will try it. I am looking at purchasing another pair now for August, since these look like they are ready for the garbage.

I don't have advice, but we do have the shoes! I purchased them for my ds7 a few weeks ago, and really like the sturdiness. I'll be watching for cleaning tips for the future!

I GOT THEM CLEANED!!!! I put them in the sink and sprinkled AJAX on the foot bed as started to wipe them with a paper towel. They were getting cleaned, so I used the ajax all over the sandal. Most of the dirt came out. I then took out the clorox bleach pen and went over the spots and it completely came out. I used the bleach pen all over the sandals and they look like new. A little wet now. I have them on my deck outside drying.
Thank God, it is possible to get them looking good again. Buy that bleach pen and Ajax.

Excellent! I'm going to get the stuff today. What color are your sandals? Did the clorox bleach pen affect the color?

Thanks,
Jackie

the sandals are pink and only took the black out. I am looking at them dry in the sun now and they look brand new. I can not believe it!!! I would try the ajax first to get most of the dirt out and then the pen in the spots where the ajax did not get it all out.
I saw a piece on channel 7 news last night. They were putting the tide to go pen to the test. This pen is supposed to get out everything. It did work and channel 7 said they loved it. Next time you are out, I would also pick this up.
I want to get one also.

I tried the AJAX and Clorox bleach pen and it didn't work :guilty: . The store I went to today didn't have the Tide to go pen or I would have tried that as well. We have the pink and the mango colored sandals and they still look dirty. They do look better, but all of the dirt did not come off of the uppers.

The AJAX I bought is a blue can and says "AJAX with bleach". Is this the same stuff you used? I also used the bleach pen all over the shoes. Only the footbed came really clean. I must have done something differently than you???

Hannah has these sandals in almost every color - We love them!
I either put them in with the towels on HOT or top shelf of the diswasher.
Both methods have them come out looking like new.
I also put my older daughters flip flops in the dishwasher - top shelf - same results!

I am shocked that the ajax and clorox pen did not work. I used a lot of ajax and some water and it almost made a paste. I just scrubbed a little and it mostly came out. I did put the pen over the straps and rubbed it in and it did come out. Try again and then put in the dishwasher like Laura 66 said. I remember someone told my mom years ago that if you get a stain and it doesn't come out on your clothes or tableclothes etc, to put cascade dishwashing detergent. That also works.

I too have the pink and I found the best method so far was washing in warm with Tide with bleach. The first time I soaked them for about 20 min in the washer, took them out and then scrubbed them with a brush, then let them wash. They looked brand new! The pink dirties fast, my son has the dark blue and they never look dirty! I find now just using the tide with bleach and warm water seems to get them pretty clean but I do wash them fairly often now. I did buy one of those Tide pens, will have to try it, so far I've just kept it in the car. I've found so far the absolute best stain remover is the Shout oxy, it's a dual formula and you shake it up and it's great. That might work good for the shoes too, I will have to give it a try..good luck
