We want to make the most of our 4 day land portion of our trip. We are staying at the Dolphin hotel starting 3/13 but we will be in florida from 3/8 - 3/12. I have my cruise booklets and they do not really explain how to go about getting the ultimate park hopper tickets that come with our package. It doesn't explain much of anything! Do we have to check into the dolphin first? or can we go to the park ticket booths? Can I check us in the night before and get our park hoppers (3/12 we have chef mickey reservations but staying at the Radisson world gate) so we can get an early start in the morning to the parks and then come back later in the day to officially check in with our bags etc? Can anyone give their experience with the dolphin cruise check in desk? What time they open, any tips etc...

Thanks, as the time draws closer I am getting worried I will forget something.

They give you the park tickets when you check in at your hotel. We stayed at the Poly and got there first thing in the morning and checked in long before check in time. They held our luggage until our room was ready and we went to the parks. When we came back to the hotel our luggage was in the room.

If I remember correctly, if you have the land/sea package the KTTW card that you are issued when you check in at your hotel is your room key, park ticket, shipboard room key and charge card. Talk about all-in-one...don't lose it!

My family has the four day land (staying at the CBR)/3 day sea package booked for October 2005. We have also added two extra days at the CBR (Friday & Saturday) before our package starts. Do we have to check out and check back in on Sunday? Can we stay in the same room? Also, would we receive our our MYW tickets when we first check in on Friday or would we have to wait till Sunday?

We added an extra day on our land/sea last summer and we didn't have to re-check in. We stayed in the same room. We did add on our day through DCL so I don't know if that made a difference or not. We also used the same KTTW card to get into the parks the whole time we were there. When we checked in there was some confusion. They said something to the effect of "only checking in for one night?" After my initial panic that something happened to the ressie, we managed to get everything figured out and get checked in.

Jayally....DON'T DO IT!!!!!! Don't stay at the Dolphin or Swan they are not WDW resorts. You get NO KTTW card!!! No charging priviliges and you need to get another card for the ship....Your KTTW card at ALL WDW resorts IS you park hopper pass. You get paper passes at the others....we made that mistake in 02 on our 2nd sailing.

Has anyone recently had a pre-night stay added to their land/sea package? DCL says that we get our 5-day MYW ticket at the hotel on the day that our cruise package starts, not when we check-in for the pre-stay. We also called Disney Central Reservations and they say that we should receive a voucher in the mail that we take to the parks and redeem. Does anyone know how this works? We would really like to be able to start using our tickets a day early. Also, do most people book their pre-stay nights directly through Disney or through the DCL.

I just went through this with my TA. Although we ultimately canceled the "land" portion of the Land/Sea Package for more resort flexibility, we did wind up adding a 4th day on land to have a 4/4 package, instead of a 3/4 package. My understanding is that you only have to check in once and you can definitely keep your same room if you book the extra day of your room through DCL. If you book your room directly with CRO, they will not recognize that you are adding extra time onto the "land" portion of your package, and you will have to check in again and risk moving rooms at the start of the "land" portion of your cruise package.

That is per my TA anyway.

We opted to cancel the land piece so we could stay at BWI Concierge instead of a standard room at the GF. All this means is that we'll have to check in separately at the cruise terminal and we'll have 2 different room/cabin cards. No big deal to us.

Have a great trip.
