Land sea package?

Here I go again with more questions. Since we will be trecking from nj I would love to have a few park days along with the cruise. If I only want 2 days prior to the cruise should I just book a room somewhere or is it better to book the "Land/Sea" package that I hear about? I guess this would be for Tracy when she is back from vacation but I wanted to ask so that I don't forget.

DCL only packages 3 days land / 4 days seas or 4 days land / 3 days sea..

Anything other than that requires you to book your land stay as a seperate reservation.
