Land/Sea combined w/Magic Your Way/Free Dining. Anyone?

Our 4Land/3Sea cruise is in Oct 2005, and we were told by DCL that we would get 5 Day Premium passes. I asked and was told we can extend those to 10 day no-expire at Guest Relations, so that is my current plan.

Future trip park passes .... covered!! :dancer:

I just checked the Web site and there are different tickets depending on when your trip is.

It says (not quite in their words):

For trips booked before Jan 2005 you get an Ultimate Park hopper.

For pkgs booked after Jan 2005 you get MYW Premium tickets - for the 3land/4sea - 4day pass; 4land/3sea - 5 day pass.

For pkgs commencing on or after Jan 1, 2006 you get a full 7 day MYW ticket w/ Park Hopper option regardless of the number of nights spent at the resort. If you have booked pre-nights, you will be able to visit parks with the tickets from the moment you arrive!

So I think I get a 7 day whether I need it or not. But the good news is that when I arrive the night before my pkg begins I will be able to use my tickets. A little better value than I originally thought.

Yes, all of these messages have been quite concerning, so I spent yesterday afternoon communicating with my TA.

Our land/sea begins Jan. 19, 2006. We get 7 day MYW w/ PH, but not "Plus" options. We have the option to add the "No expiration", but do not have the option to add the "Plus" option.

I hadn't asked about adding days to make it a 10 day. Hmmm. What a great idea! Would this cost just $109? (The 10 day MYW + PH & No Expiration is 332 - a 7 day MYW PH is 223 = $109?)

Can anyone confirm this?

This is how my package broke down. I originally checked the price for a Land/Sea pkg that includes Park Hopper tickets. ( I am not sure how many t
ticket days that included, but last year, with the 3 day land and 4 day at sea, we got tickets for 4 days.)
The quote was for a family of 4.
I was quoted $3720 for the Land/Sea package through a bid on cruisecompete.com. The lowest bidder was Cruise Value Center. The quote was for a Cat 5 with the land portion at the Polynesian. Disney requires you to stay at a deluxe resort if you book a Cat5. This is the exact same package we purchased last September.
I then got a quote for the land and sea separately, but with 4 days at Disney instead of the 3 days covered by the pkg. That would give us 4 days land, 4 days sea, plus with the Free Dining Package, most of our food would be covered!
We wanted to try the Caribbean Beach Resort instead of the Polynesian. This lowered the land portion substantially (From $2368 to $1498) The 4 night cruise was then quoted at $2362, bringing the total to $3860. ($1498 land
+ $2362 sea = $3860.
So I got an extra day at Disney and Free meals for 4 days for a family of 4 for $140 more than the Land/Sea pkg, which only covers 3 days on land, with no food. I did have to go from a Deluxe to a moderate, but I think it was worth it.
P. S. I booked this package yesterday, only 1 month away from our vacation date, so you can get a good deal at the last minute, but probably not directly through Disney.

I'd say you did very well!

We have 4 day land which I now understand comes "plus" with 3 visits to the water parks, disneyquest, etc. and 5 hopper days at the Polynesian, and 3 nights on the Wonder Cat 6; fam of four was $3515.

I think you got the better deal considering the extra days on land and sea PLUS the free food, but after our only trip so far to WDW and staying in a Fort Wilderness Cabin (which was aweseome) I'm INSISTING on staying at a monorail resort this time. Come to think of it we couldn't get the free dining anyways since we're going the last week on Nov, and boarding the Wonder Dec 1.
