I took the boys bowling this afternoon. I swore it would be the last time. Do your kids ever just purposely try to bug/bother/irritate the crap out of you? Mine have been on a mission all day, and it came to a head at the bowling alley. I had DS8 on his way into the bathroom for a "lecture" he was so bad..just jumping on me, sitting on me, getting in my face. I don't know what was up, but I was not in the mood...We finally finished bowling and got out of there..then had to go to Walmart and pick out a cake for DS9's bday party.. They were fussing and fighting at each other..I was about to throttle both of them.

I wish I could find a picture of the cake he picked out. They had Spongebob (not tampons! )Transformers, Shrek, race cars, sports, all kinds of cool cakes- he picks out one with a Bass fishing theme, with a big UGLY bass fish on it. We do not fish...they have done it in a swamp with cubscouts, but we are not into it at all...WHY???

So anyway, we came home, I went out and got pizza. Now I am done doing stuff today..

Tomorrow we clean the sanctuary of the church we use for Cubscout meetings. Sort of a thank you by cleaning it for Easter..Then we get to entertain the DIL's again, don't know when that has to start...but I do know we can get them back to the hotel early...they were getting really tired yesterday around 7:30 ish when I finally finished cooking dinner. They hung out a little while later, then DH took them back..I will start dinner earlier tomorrow..


Well, I haven't had my pizza yet, maybe I will drop back later...maybe not, I want a grown up drink. If I have one now, I may be able to fit another one in before I nod off...


Why has it been so quiet around here since the Diva Cup thread went away? We need someone (not mentioning any names) to got out there and find us something interesting to do....hint, hint...

Ohmigosh, there are like a million recipes. And it so depends on if you like "flavorful" or "I don't wanna taste nuttin but crab".

But I'll find a couple of good ones and post them on the LL. I have a cookbook full of them.

Crab cakes are easy peasy, nothing winnerish about them at all.

My favorite though, is the crab dip...It's like a cheesy version of a crabcake that you can spread on crackers.

ETA: Lara sounds like a great cook. I'll bet she has some crab recipes too.

I actually prefer my crab straight from the shell.

I make a decent crab cake...little mayo, old bay, little lemon and a tiny bit of filler...I like italian bread crumbs. The trick is to use only enough filler to keep the crab cakes from falling apart...any more and it's overkill.

I've already warned DS6 that if it is raining tomorrow, the Bunny Breakfast, egg hunt, and parade will be cancelled. (The Bunny Breakfast won't and the others are iffy, but don't tell him... Kay?)

Temps are supposed to drop into the 30s tonight with a high tomorrow of 49. That doesn't scream, "roast marshmallows around a campfire" to me. We'll have a camp out in the living room. He can sleep in his sleeping bag and I'll make smores in the microwave. He'll be just as happy and I'll be a whole lot happier. It'll even force me to vacuum. Bonus.
