We land at 5:30 PM at MCO. Planning to stay at the Hyatt for our pre cruise stay. There is an after hours event at magic kingdom that we could enter at 7:00. If we dropped our luggage and Ubered to TTC, what would be a realistic arrival time? Thanks!

The best answer I could come up with is 'it depends'! IF your flight lands on time, you still have to get your bags, so that's probably 6PM. How are you getting from MCO? Car rental? Private service? If you are renting, that's another 15 minutes minimum. If you're taking a ride share and they pick you up after you get your bags, it's probably another 30-45 minutes to the Hyatt, so I'd estimate (in this hypothetical) you'd get to the Hyatt 6:45ish. Then even if you drop off the bags without checking in, maybe on your way to TTC by 7. So I all goes really well, maybe TTC by 7:30? If you're lucky, 7. If things go sideways with your flight being later or traffic between MCO and Hyatt? Well, you get the idea! Good luck! Enjoy the cruise!!

I assumed the OP was staying at the MCO Hyatt. But I still think the timing estimate is about right and dependent on traffic. I think by 7 is doable if the plane lands on time.

Guessing OP means Hyatt at MCO also.

5:30 land (then 30 mins to exit plane, take shuttle and gather luggage)
6:00 pick up luggage (then 30 mins to check in to Hyatt, go to room and drop luggage, call ride share)
6:30 ride share (then 30 min drive to TTC)
7:00 arrive TTC (15 min ferry/monorail)
7:15 arrive MK

All this is based on everything going perfectly. I feel the earliest you would get into the MK is 7:30 but still plenty of time to have a ton of fun!!

Have a plan for the value on those tickets if you have an airline mishap. (I assume they work like all other Disney tickets where the value can be applied to future tickets? If not then forget it, don’t try this!)

Doesn’t DCL offer transfers from WDW hotels as well? If so I say do it but ditch the MCO Hyatt and book a Disney hotel. That way you won’t waste time after the event transporting yourself all the way back to MCO.

Thank you all. Yes, staying at MCO Hyatt. Had thought about Uber/ride share.

I thought about Disney property too, but wondered if ride share there and dropping bags before getting to TTC would be longer. At the end of the night, Disney property would be easier. I had points to stay at the Hyatt for free and I like how easy it is to get to the cruise from there the next morning

At one time bell services at the Hyatt would get your luggage at baggage claim.

IF the OP is staying at the airport Hyatt, I would just suggest staying there for the evening and skip the Disney event. Seems like an awful lot of racing around on a travel day. Then you also have to get back to your hotel when the Disney event is over. Flights may be delayed and not sure how long of a day it has already been depending on where you are from. How early do you have to get up the next day to travel to where your cruise is departing from?

We recently arrived at MCO at 4:35 p.m. and used a car service. Traffic was horrendous -no big surprise there - (there may have been an accident in the mix) and I was really glad we had no plans for that evening (and happy someone else was doing the driving). There are just too many things out of your control. (But booking those flight times is on me! :headache:)

Does this after hours event start at 7 but actually let people in much earlier? If so, know that some of the lines will already be built up from last minute exiters joining before they get kicked out and the early arriver event people. I’m with a prior poster, I’d skip it. Too much to hedge.
