was wondering if the same menu is available upstairs and downstairs?

Upstairs is usually a different menu. Not as many items I believe.

Both have an outdoor patio.

If you mean the one with the patio out on the lagoon (Paradise Bay) that is Lamplight Lounge.

If you mean the patio across from Knick Knacks that is Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk.

Also, you cannot get items off of both menus. This comes up often when talking about the nachos.

You can't make an ADR for Lamplight Lounge Boardwalk Dining.

And just so you look like a DL pro, the name of the restaurant is Lamplight Lounge. Many people call it Lamplighter by mistake, and when they do, it makes me think of a private school here in Dallas with that name! Either way, it is a favorite of ours, and we go every trip (particularly for the brunch menu that is only offered on the weekends until 2pm, I think). Have a great time!

Which is the one with the outdoor patio?

How many people are in your party? There is a good chance that they will not seat you on the deck. You can check in on your app, but I would walk up to one of the CM and check in with them. When you do, request a seat on the deck over the water.

We had one of the worst experiences at an Disney restaurant at Lamplighter.

We were pretty much ignored , the food was cold, overall took like 2 hours to get in and out with a reservation...

It's was awful.

I keep hearing people love this place, so O wanted to try again. But that first experience was so bad not sure if I am gonna risk it again.

We used to love it but had 3 bad dining experiences in a row and we have not been back. Sorry to hear you had a similar experience. It’s just too expensive for our family of 4 to walk away disappointed. I don’t know why we went back after the 2nd bad experience. lol. I guess we were hopeful it would change….

Glad I am not alone!

We had a good experience at Blue Bayou, but only due to the ambiance and Wait staff.

The food was mediocre....
