I secured my LLL reservation for my Feb trip. I booked just because I wanted to try something new on my upcoming solo trip. But now I have questions, and most of the reviews I'm finding are from when it just opened, so I'm not finding the answers easily enough. So...

(1) Pier view: Can you request a water-side table like at Blue Bayou? Is it a better view to be on the upper or lower level for the best view in the evening?

(2) Upstairs seating is walk-up only, correct? Is downstairs ressies and walk-up, or just ressies? I already have ressies, but just wanting to know my location options.

(3) Are there windows in front of you if there is water-side seating? (I would love to take some pictures from my seat, if water-side, but they won't be as great with a window in front of them... but pictures are no way near the top of my priorities for the meal!)

(4) Do they allow the double-portion-double-kid-price option?

1) Your options are indoor or outdoor. Most outdoor seating is waterside. There’s only a handful of middle tables.

2) reservations are sat downstairs. Walkups can be sat in either section. The menu is more limited for upstairs with it being appetizers and drinks only. There are also some drinks that are only served downstairs.

3) No windows. The railing is at about shoulder height when seated.

4) not sure on this since we’ve never ordered off the kids menu here.

1) you request inside or out nowadays but I suspect if you requested watersides seating they’d be happy to sort that out for you.

2) with your reservation you’d be seated downstairs. That’s great though because downstairs has more shade & tons of tall bar stool seating facing the water which is probably exactly where they’d want to seat a solo dining anyway.

3) only windows are in the lobby/entrance area. Both upstairs & downstairs are open air/no windows in your way.

4) Probably. I need small portions so on one trip at LLL I just ordered a regular sized kids item & an appetizer for my meal & they just gave me regular size at regular price but that’s what I had wanted.

My mom ordered off the kids menu. They offered a double portion (at double price I assume although the server didn’t specify price). My mom asked if she could just have the regular portion because she has a small appetite and he let her.
