Dave, Have you got your rainsuit ready for Saturday? Good luck!
Well, we didn't stay dry, but we did finish.

Which leads to the question.......were you holding your stomach in the whole race or just for the picture?

Ive spent a good portion of the morning looking for boat rentals in the area. Theres a place called TOWN CREEK FISHING CENTER that rents 14" flat bottoms with small motors for $65/8hr...but they only allow them out between 8am and 4pm...most good fishing is happening before 8am and after 4pm and they do not allow over night rentals!!! Dangit!!

Anyone know of any other options? I may consider this if its the only option.

Frank..Im gonna pick up a battery op'ed airpump and 5gal bucket so we can find some live shiners from somewhere in the area.

Also...Vickie...since youve been to this campground...would you suggest bringing bicycles? Or JUST a golfcart?

Well, I just looked in our local Yellow Pages and there is not even a category for boat rentals!!

Strange, isnt it? It would seem like there would be a big market for that around larger lakes...we really dont have much of anything like that in LA either.....I guess the insurance on something like that must be too high......like for accidental drownings and stuff.:confused3

I havnt really talked it over with Denise, but I know she wants to bring the buggy,,,I wanna bring our 12' jon boat,,,,for some reason I just gotta feeling that the campground aint so big that I couldnt walk where I need to get to, when we are there, :confused3

Is it me...or does time seem to be standing still waiting for this trip???? OH GAWD....I GOTTA GET OUTTA THIS HOUSE!!!!

I'm here. We take our bicycles, Rog. But, we don't have a golf cart. The campground is pretty big. You'll need bicycles, or golf carts to go from place to place. You can drive your vehicles, but there is limited parking at the pool area, etc.
