Lag in the Haunted Mansion Game - will it go away?

I love catching ghosts, but not since the "new" VMK was released this month. I suffer a lot of lag time in the mansion, which makes it hard to play. I've tried playing early in the morning, middle of the day, and in the evening, to see if the lag is a function of the number of players on VMK. It doesn't appear to make any difference.

The only time before I've suffered lag like this was when the Tomorrowland quests first came out.

I checked my connection and computer. I took care of the usual suspects: repairing my connection, restarts, virus scan, spyware scans, updates, clearing cookies, defrag, disk cleanup, looking for oddities in Task Mgr, etc. I do all this stuff on a regular basis anyway. Nothing new there. Lag is only a problem with VMK, no other websites or software. My computer exceeds VMK requirements as referenced on the homepage.

I hope that when Halloween goes away on vmk, the lag will go away. I'm worried that the lag is related to the system changes to eliminate dc. I'd rather dc. You can work around dcs by refreshing periodically. Nothing gets rid of the lag!

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on lag?

Okay, I'm now zen about the lag.

I'm enjoying the randomness it adds to any game of ghosts. Turning you into a ghost when you aren't actually near any ghosts. Letting you walk right through the other ghosts without being changed. Moving you in fits and starts. The OLD way of playing was getting too easy. Lag playing is more challenging.

Embrace the lag. Love the lag. Be the lag.

Pirates has been the same way, and rooms are slow again too. Also in fireworks, there is an issue with the game not taking you in when you click play. I hope this gets better, because I too would rather the dc!

That is so empowering - as we play we will chant "Embrace the lag." Hey at least we can still get nice credits - just not as much as we normally get.

I find the lag in pirates quite annoying. I start to move and then am dead before I even saw a ship coming... arg

I've almost always had some sort of lag in HM. But that's my slow computer.

Sometimes the lag for any of the games is there, sometimes not. Of course, when there is a lag, I'm yelling at my computer.
