My husband witnessed a lady fall backwards and hit her head on the boardwalk at Boardwalk Resort Wednesday morning. We had to board Magical Express a short time later. A vacationing ortho surgeon was right there working with her before the ambulance came. Was anyone there who might know how she made out. It was so sad, you could hear her screaming in pain for a long time as her leg was visibly broken. She and her husband were elderly and I know it was upsetting for them.

Poor lady. Hope she's ok.

DS fell this summer at a dance thing and broke both bones in his lower arm. As he sat in the lobby waiting for us and then for the EMTs (we had never broken a long bone before and didn't know what to do) he drew quite a crowd!

I think they power wash the boardwalk early in the morning and it can indeed be very slippery. I encountered a wet boardwalk wearing Crocs a few years ago, it was like walking on ice.

Yes I heard her screams while in my Boardwalk view room. It was a very bad situation as they could not drive out onto the boardwalk so they had to put her on a stretcher and carry her up the stairs to the second floor level and out front were a rescue squad waited. They attached a splint to her leg before picking her up but I didn't here how she was doing. Felt just awful for bust her and her husband.

The metal docks and gangways getting on the boats are also very slippery when wet so be careful.

Awful. Hope she's ok. I've also taken a spill on the Boardwalk but thankfully with only bruised pride and was admittedly perhaps aided by wine at dinner. The wood does get very slippery.

I wondered what they were doing. When we got on our bus to leave they closed the ambulance doors without her in it. I figured they were trying to drive around closer. I know a lot of people get hurt on vacation even at the "happiest place on earth". I just hated to witness it. My heart was breaking for them.
