DD9 and I went to MK today, and to our surprise at the TTC were giant Lady and Tramp inflatables!
We had a great day, I had been missing our weekly visits since the "summer" got here and we spend less time at the parks and more time in the pool!
We FINALLY made it over to Tom Sawyer's Island... DD had fun running around and I found it a great place to take shots of HM, and BTMR! She also had ice cream at Aunt Polly's.
We had a couple rainstorms - during the first DD rode Goofy's Barnstormer eight times in a row - there was no line, so they just let those who wanted to stay on, keep riding. Then we hung out in Country Fair, visited some characters and AGAIN - DAISY DUCK was out shopping... we had just missed her by 15 minutes, and she was coming back, but I just could not stand in the line again, as it was quite long - everyone was in there getting out of the rain! The second was JUST as the 5:35 Cinderellabration was starting, so we headed out of the park and came home. At one point they had some of the rides shut down and the train (of course we wanted to ride it from Towntown back to the front of the park.....)
At least standing in the character lines was not a total waste. We don't have a shot like this with Minne and Pluto together!
You can see how dark and ominous it was for a good part of the day!
I had gone through 3 weeks of no Disney withdrawl, and I wasn't doing bad, but today got me "hooked" again - so I think we will get UP early on Friday as I am taking the day of to spend with DD, so we can hit MK early and do somethings we didnn't do today either due to lines or closures!
