If you found out there was a DIS ladies/moms only (no kids or hubbys) trip to WDW being planned for a few months from now (Sept?), would you think about going? :scratchin

Think about going? Are you nutz, I would be going!!!!!!! (If I werent already going in Dec. )

Im already going in September.... but if I werent, I would! :teeth:

Hmmm, if I thought my DH wouldn't divorce me... Heck, I might go even if I thought he would divorce me! :rotfl2: Maybe if it were in early to mid September (2 of my boys have birthday the end of September). I am looking for an excuse to get back to WDW for a few days). But divorce is expensive. :teeth:

I would definitely consider it. We're already going in October, though.

ETA: mommaU4, are you offering to set up such a trip? Careful, you might just get volunteered! :teeth:

I'm in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where do we sign up at?

Yes, I would consider it. :scratchin

I'm not sure I could get away with it, but I might be willing to try. :thumbsup2

I've always hoped somebody would organize a get together from this board! :thumbsup2 Would definitely drive over to meet everyone.

If I wasn't moving, I'd be there! :goodvibes

My DH is always saying "if you want to take a trip alone..." The only thing is my 2.5 yr old who is DISNEY obsessed. I don't think i could leave her. She is always saying, "mama, purple castle with fireworks? please?"
I would sell a kidney to take her but my mom just had emergency surgery and DH has to have surgery in April for sleep apnea... they took over all the hospital stays for a while.... jerks :rotfl:

It would have to be on a weekend or holiday (:scratchin Labor Day? ) especially since I'm using up my vacation for our November trip.

I would love to do that but we are going in June. I could get an AP....what are you thinking?

If I could afford it, I'd go! Actually I've done trips like that in the past... lots of fun!

Not only would I do it, I've done it once with DD (18 at the time) once alone (meeting up with the WISH group and Mousefest), once with DS, and the last time DH joined us toward the end.

Well, I was tossing the idea around.

It all started when I told DH that for the first time ever I was thinking of taking a solo vacation. He was all for it. So then I thought where would I go? Obvious answer: WDW!

I wondered if I would really be able to go and leave the hubby and kids to go there. But a trip to WDW without kids would be sooooooo different. And it could be alot of fun. Think of all the shopping, eating, drinking, etc. that you really can't do with kids and DH along.

So I started thinking maybe sometime in Sept. when the crowds have died down but the weather is still warm. Kids are back in school at that time anyways. Maybe a long week-end? Thursday thru Monday? :confused3

I read threads on here all the time from moms/ladies who are tired and stressed and need a break. And let's face it, a vacation with the kids is fun, but not much of a break. It would be fun to meet some of the people here on these boards. Have a real adult vacation. Recharge your batteries and go home with some new friends and ready to tackle work, kids, etc.

Anyways, I'm rambling. It's a thought I had and decided to throw it out there to see if anyone would actually seriously do that. :confused3

My best girlfriend and I went last September for a week. We had a great time. Totally relaxing different kind of trip!!
Even though my kids are teenagers I still had my mom-guilt. No wife guilt - my DH goes away fishing for a week every October.
If I could afford it I'd go to WDW every year.
