Ladies - Skincare Question (Oops, duplicate post)

O.k., for now, this is my only place to turn...LOL! I'm 36 y/o and for about a year now have had terribly oily skin. I've switched makeups, facial products, you name it...to no avail. I've never had problems with breakouts and still don't. My entire life I've had combination skin, but have to admit....no real problems that I can complain about. Until now!! Is it my age or what?!?! LOL!!! I'm beginning to think it is! I've changed everything I can possibly think of! It's driving me crazy! I could probably own stock in the little oil blotting papers, but they only work for awhile.

Anyone have any suggestions? Do you use any good oil control products for extremely oily skin?

I'm bumping this up for you. I wish I had some advice too, but maybe someone else does.

My skin turns rather oily in the summer. Yes, skin can change with age. Many people have acne well after their teens also.

What I do right now:

* Cleanse twice a day with mild facial products - I really like the new St. Ives Radiance cleansers. They have 4 formulas.

* Oil Control Toner - I use one from CO Bigelow (buy at Bath & Body Works). It's fresh and tingly, has citrus and silica in it.

* Scrub once or twice a week - Either St. Ives Medicated (I tend to break out or clog) or CO Bigelow Tropical Fruit face scrub. Both exfoliate well (Bigelow with fruit enzymes) and leave my skin smooth.

* Mattifier - Yves Rocher (www.yvesrocherusa.com) had one that I just bought. It's a light gel/lotion that I apply to the T-zone. It helps keep the shine down.

* Moisturizer - I usually skip in the summer. If anything I use aloe gel or jojoba oil which actually calms some oily skins so is worth a try. You only need 2-3 drops per use. Eye cream always though.

I LOVE Aloette!

They have a collection called "Simply Clear" that's fantastic for problem skin.

It's mostly word of mouth, but they are on Shop at Home occasionally with some great deals.
