Gosh, I guess I'm in that minority -- I love my wings! Always need that extra protection!

Thank goodness, though, for the pill and a receptive body to change -- I can organize the arrival of Aunt Flo whenever I want her to show up. She won't mess up my vacation!! I don't know what I'll do when DH and I start trying to have kids and I have to give up my control!

This has been so funny. I relate to the story of trying to get wings off without everyone in the next mile hearing you. As for Aunt Flo coming to visit every time you really don't want her to visit is right on. Also, expecting things to slow down hopefully soon. Legs feel verrrrrry warm at night, and I haven't worn a winter coat is almost 10 years. No hot flashes just warm all the time. Can't wait for the end. Oh I love wings since things can get out of "hand" and internal things are just not an option.

Usually I need a lot of protection, but no wings. The doctors say my problem isn't enough to do something permanent though. And like snoopy said, it's always inconvenient.
Anyway, I just started trying the continuous pill thing. I hope it works.

My Aunt Flo wasn't such a bad girl when I was young. Now she's a nasty old biddy who comes around whenever it is the MOST inconvenient. She stays too long. Comes more often and she's extra heavy now. I am beginning to really hate that bit**! I'm so TIRED of her!!! I think that after more than 30 years she has more than worn out her welcome!!!

I've never been a fan of "internal" protection. I'll use them if I want to go swimming & that's it.

Ditto! I don't get the thong pantyliners though. Isn't that sort of an oximoron?

Ew. Pads are disgusting. I don't use them. Ever. I only regret that it took me about 4-5 miserable years to get comfortable with using the internal variety of protection... praying that "Bob" wouldn't come during certain times, being paranoid about overflow, not able to commit to a swimming outing, etc. Geesh.

I would love to be able to use the internal protection but if normal cramps are enough when they are added it becomes unbearable. My dd uses them all the time, though my other dd is the same as me.

Gotta use both like some of you here. And, yes this coming earlier and earlier and staying longer and longer is getting to be a real pain in the rear!:-( They didn't tell me losing a lot of weight would screw THAT up. And as for thongs.....when I began my 'saga' in life, we still used those thongy like things. You won't ever find me wearing a thong now because of those! Ewwww.....Give me wings and the RRIIIIIIPPPPP sounds......

This all reminds me of the talk my Mom had with my sister when she was getting old enough to be annoyed by Flo. She told my sister that she'll have to deal with this nuisance for the next 40-50 years and it's not fun for anyone. When my Mom started talking to the other moms, they had told their daughters that they'd be becoming women soon and that it a beautiful part of life. At least my Mom didn't lie to my sister.
