Ladies, let's talk deodorant

A friend and I were talking the other day about how deodorant/antiperspirant doesn't work as well as it used to...or we're just getting old.

So LADIES...any kinds that you love??? any that you don't?

Lady Mitchum. Seriously, I was skeptical, but it works and I won't use any other kind now!

I use Secret Clinical in the summer and Secret Platinum the rest of the year.

I have a friend who swears by Degree, but it's not working....and none of us know how to approach her and tell her she smells!

I love my dove but not the new cucumber or grapefruit scents it has to be a simple powder scent. The other ones don't work.

I like Secret Platinum I think, but it has to be a gel. I hate the solids.

Right now I'm using Secret but I have to change brands every couple years. Over time they don't seem to work. It's almost as if my body becomes immune to them.

I found if I use the same deodorant for to long of a time it stops working, so every couple of months I change the brand. I switch between Arrid XX and Lady's Speed Stick 24/7


My sister uses the clinical and switches between 2 different brands also.

I've had to switch over to the clinical kind (Suave or Dove) because the regular just wasn't working anymore either.

Secret Platinum...the gel. I sweat like a stuck pig without it. Amazing stuff.

I used Lady Speed Stick for years with good results, but it stopped working a few years ago, so now I used Certain Dri. I wonder if the problem is a result of aging or if they have changed the ingredients in anti-perspirants over the years.

OK, not to change topics, but does anyone else have a complaint about their kid's feet? My DD9 takes off her shoes in the car and we all yell "PUT YOUR SHOES BACK ON NOW" -- she gets embarassed and we about pass out.

That's what I have to do. I've been like that since I was in my 20s. So I switch between Dove, Secret and Lady Mitchum.

I don't understand why this is. Aren't they all basically the same?

I was quite surprised when I took the time to look at the ingredients on antipersp/deods one day that there is a considerable difference in the amount of the active ingredient between brands.

Lady Mitchum has the highest amount of ingredient of the regular ones. I haven't looked at or tried any of the 'clinical' ones. I only use Lady Mitchum now. And I like that the gel dries fast and doesn't have those little balls of deodorant that fall out of my shirt! LOL

I wondered that too....I also have used Lady Speed Stick for years and now it doesn't work.....hmmm
