We are going to a holiday party tomorrow night, DH's work. Anyway, I was working in the yard this weekend and l must have been bit by ants or some other bug because I have several red bite marks on my legs. I swear, whenever I have an event that I want to look good for, I usually get a pimple or a rash. This time it's ant bites. :badpc: :badpc:

So, I want to do something to minimize the red spots, but I don't know what to do. :confused3 :confused3 I bought some pantyhose, just in case, but I'm sure the spots will show through them. :sad2: :sad2: I can always try some mineral foundation, but I don't know how well it will work. I did apply anti-itch ointment when I first noticed them, but there is still a small red spot. Any other ideas?

BTW, I'm wearing a dress. :rolleyes1

Soak in a hot tub with some Epsom salts

OK, this is going to sound weird, but try an aspirin mask.

It works at reducing redness from acne and rosacea, so it might work for that too.

Just take some regular aspirin (non-coated work best, but coated will work too), crush them up in some water and make a paste.

Smear it on the red spots and let it dry, then rinse it off. Don't be afraid to let it stay on there for awhile - the longer it's on, the more of the inflammation it will take away.

Good luck - let us know how the party was too. :)

Do you have to wear a dress? Maybe you could get some of those dressy pants they have out for the holidays?

You can buy derma-blend concealor. That hides everything, even tattoo's.

Try rubbing Visene (the eye drops sp?) or toothpaste. I kow it sounds weird but it was suggested to me when I was attached by fleas while horseback riding and it really took the redness out.

Lots of good advice! Thanks ladies!

I'll try the aspirin soak and the concealer idea.

I really want to wear the dress, I bought it just for this party. :teeth: I also have dressy pants, but wearing them would be a last resort decision. ;)

Thanks! I'll try that one first. :thumbsup2
