ladies help me out...40th gift bag idea's

My friends and I are going away for a girls weekend for my 40th birthday....I would really like to put together a little something for everyone .....i thought of a personalized tote bag full of stuff for hanging out by the pool while we are away...nothing to major I came up with of a magazine,flip flops,water bottle,snacks ( chips,candy ).....I don't know if that's just a bunch of junk...and I'd be better off with another idea.....someone help.... what would you consider a "cute little gift"?

I was going to suggest a magazine and suntan lotion. What about trying to find some sort of organizer that you guys can use to keep track of meds, dr's appointments, things like that? A disposal camera. Ask your friends to get copies of the photos and email them to everyone that went on the trip?

Ohhhhhh - what fun! How about a different magazine for everyone (so you can share), especially those fun magazines like People. Let's see, how about half bottles of champagne, nail polish, little bubble baths or lotions, or chapsticks. You could also make a CD of your favorite songs (of course, since you're about the same age as me, you'll probably keep calling it a "mixed tape" even if you use iTunes to burn the CD, ha ha).

You could make a CD of the songs you know you all listened to from the 80's.
You know like Madonna or maybe Def Leppard or Wham! Brings back memories.....I'm turning 40 this year too. I don't know if you all drink at all but some drink mixes and a bottle of vodka always goes over well with my friends. Have a fun birthday and a great trip

How about one person gets margareta glasses, another other gets the salt, another gets the mixes, someone else gets the alc, another person gets the frozen or fresh fruit, and the last person gets the hang over med! I know you can get that stuff at Spencers - its just a gag though, I would never actually take it! I'm not a big drinker, so some people could have virgins, and others can have alc.

If you go with the bags, Target usually has a little nail care kit (manicure/pedicure set) on their dollar rack. Gotta have nice nails if you are lounging by the pool!

However, if you want to do something a little nicer...check out sites like personalizationmall.com (and others). You could get personalized picture frames. Make sure to get a photo of all the friends together during the trip and then you have a nice frame to put it in as a cool momento of your trip!

I do have a connection for cosmetics...so I'm also thinking along those lines...I could do cosmetics,with facial kind of stuff as well, nail polish and make like a "spa bag" for everyone....to pamper themselfves after our weekend away....maybe through in a pair of those super soft fuzzy socks or slippers.
