ladies - dressing for the heat and humidity

I carried a mini handheld fan in my bag. During the August heat it really cooled me off when waiting in line. I'd blow it on my face and back of my neck. It worked better than the mister fan that we brought from home.

I use Microguard powder from SweenStore.com (free s&h) every morning, a small amount under "both", then always, always, always wear a bra liner. They are cotton strips of fabric they fit under the breast between you and the bra. They rarely loose position ( I am a DD). I have about 20 of them. I wear one a day and they go in the wash. They last forever. The last pack I bought I think from Walter Drake, 3 for $10. Best money spent, ever. Now I keep 6 in my Owner's Locker :flower1:

I also wear the Isaac Mizrahi t-shirt dresses from QVC, perfect length, soft and not clingy at all.

I found a Playtex sport bra that I think is going to work. It's comfy and doesn't squash everything together, and the material feels about right. I tried it on at Kohl's but they didn't have nude in my size, so I had to order. If it works out well, I'll get more of them. I need them for working out, too, now that I'm trying hard to shed the pounds I put on after our anniversary trip last summer. I started eating like I didn't care while we were gone, and kept eating that way. Bad Cyndi! Now I have to work out and diet to get back into my hiking skorts.

Hi all! Yes, I do live in a southern state and know how to dress appropriately for hot, humid weather. But to be honest, I rarely spend a full day outside running around, much less a whole week (except for when I get drafted to be the spare adult at boy scout camp, but that's another kettle of fish).

So, I have hiking skorts and capris in quick-dry nylon, Keen sandals for my feet, and trek-tek tees for the parks. But I still have not found anything for the girls to keep them from sweating like mad. I wear a D cup and have to have the "lock and load" style bra to keep the girls in check, preferably a lightly lined underwire with wide straps.

For all day in the Florida heat, I need a good, non-sweaty bra that won't give me a uni-boob. Any suggestions?

I weight lift at the gym. I say buy a nice sports bra. I'm sweating so much during deadlifts that I'm always sweating in that area but I don't get the boob sweat marks cause the sports bras are breathable and they are full of support.

Sounds like everybody is doing the same thing. Taking several bras and washing them out. I can't figure out anything to stop all the sweating but about halfway into the day, I do a full wipe down with cleansing wipes and reapply deodorant. It really helps! And yes to panty liners!

I'm wearing sports bras as they're breathable and will dry quickly on water rides plus they have the additional support for getting tossed about on rides.

Thanks for the suggestions. I didn't even think of the bra issue but everytime I work out they have to go in the wash so I guess I should have known that would be an issue at Disney. Will try the panty liner thing. Hope they don't bunch up because that would look mighty crazy!

I don't think I've ever worn a sports bra at WDW but I do make sure that I take my most comfortable and supportive bras along! Bras with thicker shoulder straps and wider bands tend to offer the most support and comfort. Make sure you take clothing and undergarments with breathable fabrics (like cotton or linen) that aren't too tight or too baggy (which both trap heat)

I have used just basic deodorant under the girls and also a little bit of baby powder (I just take a travel sized bottle with me) and I can tell you I have also refreshed the girls with a baby wipe or two on a super hot day in the restroom! :rolleyes1 I gotta say though, I'm definitely testing out the panty liner idea this summer! Brilliant!

Line your bra with panty liners. Sounds weird but works!

Haha-I did this when I was nursing.
Last year my daughter and I both found sports bras to be the most comfortable-wide range of styles (larger straps) and styles (more individual cups so no "uniboob).

Found several this spring at TJ Maxx in our area (<$9 each)

Well, the Playtex sportsbra is here and I've got it on. I like the material, but the one that came in the mail is just a little snugger in the cup than the one I tried on at the store. But it has all the rest - broad shoulder straps, microfiber fabric, good support. Will try it a couple of times and decide whether or not to get more or keep looking.

For you girls that wash bras at night, are they dry by morning? I would like to do this in the summer but have found things don't dry at all in the room, but I was trying to dry heavier things like shorts.

I use under armor sports bras and that have cup sizes so they are much more flattering than normal sports bras. They are a little on the expensive side at about 50 to 70 a bra but I love them. I am a dd to ddd.
