Ladies, a rather personal question...

i'm honestly no thong expert because i just bought my first one!! i was actually excited; is that strange? it's a cotton one and it was actually much more comfy than i thought it would be. and about the bikini waxes: getting my eyebrows and lip waxed hurt--i ain't trying something like THAT! whoa!

I find them much more comfortable than VS, they don't really have a waistband as much as a very thin elasticized waist. Very, very comfy, they're cotton, and not too meaty in the back - but a little more than just that string, if ykwim ;-).

Yes, I'm up for that. Perhaps we should start a new thread called "The DIS Mens' Thong Challenge". They could wear a thong for one week and report back whether they can do it for life or burn the darned thing.

Oh man...now you've all gotten me thinking that maybe I should try them again!!! I keep trying but just can't get to where I find them to be comfy. But, I haven't worn them for a week either. My dd, 28, swears by thongs. Says it's the only way to go and she is not a thin girl by any means. So, maybe I'll take my 'old, slightly saggy' body off and get some nice, teeny tiny cotton thongs to try out for the summer.
Oh and I love the idea of the Dis men thong challenge. Great idea. Any takers or do we need Ed to come back from WDW??

Oh, this is funny, I can totally see all the men on the DIS reading this snickering because I had this thong question with my best friend who is a guy and he was beside himself laughing his butt off at me. I told him, look, women have to do all this hooha for you why is it so funny - here let me run this dental floss here and see how you like it!

On topic, I like T-backs, but I think the ones with more meat on them and all cotton ones are the most comfortable.

LOL! Did you all ever hear of the pantyhose man? I am recalling an old memory..so I am not sure if I have all the facts straight. But there was a reporter listening to hs wife complain and complain about pantyhose. He kept telling her it was no big deal as all women wear them. So she challeneged him to wear them for one week and report on it.

The funniest thing I ever heard! He wrote about going into the store and seeing small, medium, large, queen..and then the colors of nude, beige, white, cream, taupe..what the heck is taupe. He studied the back and decided he was a queen size. The story went on and on and finally he decided that the world would be better off without them.

The Thong challenge made me think of it. BRILLIANT! I wonder if any of them would take the challenge...

Just have to say this is the funniest thread I think I have ever read here.
I have worn thongs for 5 years now and hate regular panties. Just bought some by hanes and I really like them. I'm very particular about the ones I wear. Hubby bought me some satin like ones that were sooooooooooooooooooooooo uncomfortable...they disappeared somehow.
Like the idea of the male thong challenge!!!

may I ask what is the difference in wearing a thong vs. regular undies. Is it just so you don't have panty lines? I guess I never understood what the attraction to them were. I mean, heck, if I'm missing out on something I'll try them out....big butt and all! LOL

i have a drawer full of thongs that I never wear - they range from floss to 'meat' in the back...some sit too high, others are just too uncomfortable.

maybe i'll give it the 7 day challenge again...and stock up at VS when the semi-annual sale gets to town (not in stores yet up here)

As a side note - there is nothing more appealing then a man in boxer briefs. In college I loved guys in boxers...but now - it's all about the boxer brief...makes the bum look very nice.

For me, if I'm wearing something where you can see a panty line - I go with a thong.
