Labor Day

I'm sorry, I tried searching this but search is not working. How crowded is Labor Day usually? I was surprised to see that my SoCal Select AP is not blocked on Labor Day.

That will be a very busy weekend, as it is the Disneyland Half Marathon. Although the half is on Sunday, many racers will stay through Monday.

I think it will be busy, but maybe not too busy! Do you have touring plans? I like to look at the dates on the years past. They historically rank the days 1 through 10. 10 being the busiest. Their historical numbers don't come out until the day has past, so they are pretty accurate (not the future predictions though because they have been way off lately) Historically, Labor Day hasn't been horrible. A 6 out of 10 last year and the weekend before was only a 5 even with the marathon. The few days after are 2s or 3s.

I think it's like the 4th of July. For so long, everyone thought "it's going to be crazy" so they just don't go and it ends up being a pretty decent non crazy day!

How interesting. I really thought our passes would have been blocked but maybe they are not because Disney doesn't expect it to be super crowded? We would go early and leave if it got too crazy. Worth a try.

They guarantee you a set number of days and can't block out every day that it will be crowded. They'd rather have it crowded on a somewhat rare Monday of a 3 day weekend than extend an additional day into June or August.

Hmmmm that is interesting. I had assumed all holidays would automatically be blocked. I'm glad I checked!

Last year it was very busy on Labor Day, but it was also the end of the 60th celebration with the last showing of Disneyland Forever and the end of the initial run for Paint the Night so that added to the crowds that day.
