Labor Day..... what's Orlando like?

Hi guys,

I presume this may be the best place to ask this, if not, sorry.

I'm heading to Orlando on the 31st August and didn't realise that the 1st september is labor day (whoops)

Gladly, we won't be attempting to be going to the park, but need to head to Walmart. So question being, it's open on Labor day, right?

I only ask because I know supermarkets here close on holidays and so wanted to check.

Sorry if the question is stupid but I need to know!

At least around here, most stores are open, but some may have limited hours. I'm assuming that would be the same for the Orlando area!

I know that our Wal-Mart only closes on Christmas and maybe Thanksgiving, but that's about it.

The Wal-Mart by Disney will be open on Labor. You can pretty much count on everything being open in the tourist areas as well.

Which is the one by Disney, the one on John Young Parkway? Since we go to the one on Turkey Lake Road as its nearer to where we're staying.

I'm warned about the heat! Although, the fact that I thought that this time we may actually run into a hurricane, especially on the cruise, this kind of makes me feel better about it. Also, I've been working in a shop where it is actually the heat of the surface of the sun, so I may already be used to it.
