DH and I are thinking about taking a quick trip in the fall but aren't sure how the crowds would be. To take advantage of Labor Day and not having use a vacation day that day, we were thinking Thursday-Monday over Labor Day. For anyone who has gone during this time, how did you find the crowds? It will be DH, DD (18 months), and me:)

We were there last Labor Day. It was by far the least crowded I've ever seen the parks, and we've traveled during October, June, and mid-December. To give an idea of how not crowded it was, we did TSM in the early evening on two different days with a 20 and 25 minute wait. I saw a posted wait time for A&E of 20 minutes one evening. I'd totally go back over Labor Day again...if not for the heat. It was brutal and awful and that is the big deterrent for that time of year, not the crowds.

My girlfriend and I went around the same time last year. We were able to get on everything we wanted with out FP+ and had a great time. I don't believe we went to the parks on actual Labor Day. Everything I read said the crowds would be at a 9 or 10, so we just walked around Downtown Disney and resort hopped.

We went a few years ago and it was the least crowded trip we have ever had. Obviously some schools do not go back until after Labor Day, but even with that many families are done with their summer vacations by then and it is a great time to visit. Only bad thing is it is hurricane season.

We also went over the holiday last year and the only thing we missed was RnR because it was down the days we hit HS. We are going back same time this year.

Thanks everyone!! That is definitely reassuring! Next question, if you don't mind:) Would you go Labor Day or wait and go so we can hit one of the first MNSSHP? We went three years ago and had a BLAST, but DH was getting sick and we ended up leaving around 930 so we missed out on a lot.

We go over Labor Day every other year. Great crowds...HOT, HOT, HOT!, though. We always end up at Epcot on Labor Day. It seems to handle larger crowds better than the other 3 parks and we've never had an issue when going there on Labor Day! That's where we will be this year too! Have fun!

We went into the weekend of Labor Day and crowds were pleasantly low because kids are either already in school or about to go back to school but the weather is disgustingly HOT and HUMID. I was offered another birthday trip and a stay at the Contemporary or a later in the year trip for an early birthday for daughter and we would have to stay at a moderate, and I picked the moderate later in the year. (We've since upgraded to the W.L., but that wasn't in the original plan. )

We are going this year. Its consistently rated as one of the best weeks to go if you can deal with the heat.
