I'm considering a trip in Sept of 09 - a little ways off...

Has anyone been over Labor Day weekend? Is it busy due to the holiday? That part of a value season, isn't it?

We have gone the last three years right before or after Labor Day. Last year, we arrived the Saturday before Labor Day; we did not go to the parks on our arrival day (Saturday). We went to the Magic Kingdom around 1:00 on Sunday for our lunch adr at Liberty Tree Tavern. We were able to ride quite a few attractions afterwards--Hall of Pres., Tiki Birds, Aladdin (twice), Jungle Cruise, Big Thunder, Splash, Small World, Pooh, Pirates, TTA. Took a break and got wristbands for extra evening hours; sat and had something to drink. During parade, we went on Snow White, Cinderella's Carousel, Pooh and Small World again. Had dinner at Columbia Harbor House. Went on Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain. Everything during extra evening hours was getting crowded, so we left around 11:30. On Monday, Labor Day, we were at Animal Kingdom for Extra moring hours. We got Fast Pass for Expedition Everest and then rode it in the standby line which was nothing since the park had just opeened. We then walked over and rode Dinosaur twice and Primevil Whirl once. We walked over to Safari and got fast pass and had something to eat--fruit and water. We went back and used Fast Pass for Expedition and then went back to Safari to ride it. We had lunch at Flame Tree and then did the Jungle Trek, It's Tough to be a Bug, Kali River Rapids and went back to resort for swim/nap and then to the Studios at night which was extremely crowded. The only thing we rode was Great Movie Ride, Star Boursand Tower of Terror. We watched Fantasmic and then left because it was very crowded. So at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, we did pretty good but the Studios were really crowded. The rest of the week, our average wait was 10 minutes for most attractions.

we go every year the week of labor day like the 4th...it is less crowded. Everyones back at school. Average is 10 mins for a ride-and thats how long it takes to walk up to it. They offer free dining now to boost it up...mainly families w/ preschool age kids, honeymooners, etc. Its very hot-be prepared...hope this helped!:wizard:
