Labor Day Weekend Trip...?

Hey everyone, has anyone taken a trip over labor day weekend in the past? I was looking at touring plans crowd calendars for this year and the crowds seem really low. Is that normal? Is this a good time to make a weekend short trip?

We are thinking of arriving Friday night (Aug 29) and staying either until Monday night (Sept 1) or Tuesday night (Sept 2).

Ideas, suggestions?

Labor Day Weekend is the least crowded of the holiday weekends. I go LDW almost every year. Crowds are moderate at worst in my experience.

Agreed. WE missed the weekend back seven years ago when our grandson was supposed to be born (one week late, son of a gun!). Remember that most east coast schools are either back in session or going to start very soon so this weekend is one of the least populated weekends at Disney World. Heck - we get out of Atlanta in less than an hour's time!

we will start our vacation on the 29th of August. We have started the past 2 years that weekend our trips.. We loved the crowd levels, but it was miserable humid. But we dealt. I was surprised last year that there were a lot of school kids that first september week. Found out a lot of east coast NY schools started school second september week. Crowds were good...


Does anyone know how the water parks are that weekend.. More crowded cause of locals, or less crowded as many doing the weekend will focus time on the parks?? we were thinking of starting Labor Day Weekend in the H2O parks.

I did spend Saturday of LDW last year at TL. I thought it was pretty crowded. But being it was a Saturday and the "unofficial end of summer", I expected as much.
