Looking at the great prices for late Aug and Sep is a visit over Labor Day worth it? My DH and I normally visit the world in April/May we love the temps and sparse crowds. How do you plan for busier times? Is it hard to get ADR's over holiday weekends? Help me decide, oh the temptation!

We love October and November for the same reasons. We went for the first time in the week after Labor Day last year for our honeymoon. It was definitely a trade-off. Crowds were minimal, but it was much much hotter.

We just decided to take the chance and booked for Labor Day weekend for our anniversary. Not sure if it being the Holiday weekend will make it more crowded but we're giving it a shot.

I was really worried last year because of the introduction of free dining and we had a harder time with ADRs but we loved the lack of crowds.

So, overall, Labor Day isn't busy whatsoever?

I am getting mixed reviews...I am there August 24 - 30 and am really nervous about it being really crowded...I know it will be hot but the crowds I am worried about

OK ... here is my take on it and I have been on Labor Day Weekend.

Saturday night - droves of people in the MK. Not sure about the other parks.

Sunday AM - We had a nice time at MGM and it was an EE day ... things got crowded around 1ish.

Sunday PM - Went to MK and turned around! LOL ... went to Epcot instead ... it was like a ghost town.

Monday + Rest of the week ... awesome!

It is hot hot hot hot though!

We are going Labor Day Weekend and the week after ... looking foward to it.

This will be my third late Aug trip. Back in 2003 it was not crowded at all then last yr when they first introduced the free dining promotion I went late Aug again and noticed that it was a bit busier than I expected not bad tho. I am anxious to see how it is this yr. I know that I had to take lunch ADRS at two TS places because they were booked the week of 8/28. Im hoping its just the TS that will be packed not the parks..lol Its very hot BUt with a mister fan, plenty of ice water and cooling down in a few A/C attractions its very doable. When in the MK and we need to cool off we like to ride TTA a few times. Sometimes if the heat gets to be too much we go back to the resort swim and shower and then come back..

Thanks for the encouragement, I think we will have to plan a more laid back schedule, but staying at AKL makes that easy.

We've gone the past four Labor Days and really didn't have any problems. Yes, it will be hot. It's been a killer summer here in the south. But take precautions and you'll be fine. We can't go this year because our second grandchild is expected that weekend. The things you give up!!!!
