Labor Day Weekend??? How busy is it??

My husband and I normally take our Disney Vacation between mid sept to the 1st week of oct. It is the perfect time to go it seems. There is not alot of people there, still hot enough to enjoy the pool..ect..But the main reason is that it just isnt crowded. This year we were thinking of moving our trip up to
8/26-9/8. I really don't want for my son to miss school as we have allowed him to do for vacation for the last 2 years. My question is how busy is it the last week of Aug thru Labor Day weekend? We have a 2 year old with VERY short patience and a 7 yr old that isnt the worlds best in long lines or hot weather, not to mention a 74 yr old Grandmother that is worse than both of the kids put together.

The vacation timing is only 3 weeks earlier than what we would normally do but what kind of difference will those 3 weeks make? We are DVC members so there is the points difference in Aug vs. Sept. That is a consideration too. We are accustomed (SPOILED) to extremely short lines, easy dining reservations and lower prices. Will we have a very rude shock if we change our dates??

We have visted the past 3 years starting the Saturday of Labor Day weekend and staying until the next Saturday. The First time we took the kids was in mid-August and the crowds are much lower then during the middle August. Labor weekend is pretty busy, Labor day it starts to drop off, Tuesday is a little more crowded but after that we have not had to wait very long in lines. Depending upon the ride maybe a 10-15 minutewait usually at the most. I have seen some lines aa little longer just depends upon the ride but the crowds are nothing compared to going in the middle of August.

Both of our kids our on the Autism Spectrum and we prefer going at this time since all in all there is fewer people in the park. We did a bounce back offer and are planning on going back this year as well during that time.

There are no crowds. We went Labor Day weekend until our children (7,5)were school age and absolutely loved it. The weather was a bit hot, but other than that, it was great.
