Labor Day Weekend Crowds

We are planning a trip this year over labor day weekend. Arriving Friday night and staying until Wednesday. We're curious on how the crowds are for this weekend?

VERY slow. Most kids are back in school immediately following Labor day weekend so once Labor Day hits, it clears out the crowds. I will add though it is HOT like WICKED HOT. My birthday falls on Labor Day Weekend or within a day or 2 before or after and after our second trip, I'm no way even remotely interested in going during that time frame any longer.

Historically, it’s the least-crowded holiday weekend of them all. Not dead, but far from crazy.

It’s opening weekend for Food and Wine, so expect crowds at Epcot.

We were at the World last year Saturday before Labor Day to Saturday after. Saturday night at MK we rode BarnStormer 5 times without getting off. I know I know, its Barn Stormer, but my kids loved it. Sunday before Labor Day felt very busy at AK, still big Pandora crowds. The rest of the week was amazing. The threat of hurricane Irma started coming on the radar about Tuesday. We decided to stick it out. Wednesday - Friday was so cool. Highlights were walking on Toy Story Mania 3 times in a row... late afternoon. Riding Expedition Everest three times in 20 min without a FastPass. It was fun! Making it out of Orlando before the airport closed was quite stressful but there was nothing we could do but pray we made it, and we did. All this to say, Labor Day week is definitely a sweet spot even with the threat of hurricanes coming.

If there is a hurricane coming then Disney will be DEAD DEAD DEAD otherwise after Monday it will be just dead

I was there that same week and it was awesome. Hot, but I'd gladly sweat a little for the low crowds. I wonder now, looking back, if the threat of the hurricane thinned out crowds or if it's normally that great.

I tend to think by at least Friday a lot of people had left. It was definitely great timing for us.

Thanks for all the feedback! We were hoping to stay from Saturday-Saturday but just didn’t work out. Seems like the crowds won’t be to bad!

We are going aug 28 tuesday thru labor day. Hopefully crowds won't be too bad but we are used to it! Also the holiday party at MK Fri night so that would limit some park time atleast at MK depending on how early you arrive.
