Labor Day weekend at Disney world

Hi, I am a faitlr ynew DVC member. I am looking to go to Disney World for labor day weekend. Any suggestions for resorts around that time? Are there any seasonal things that take place over that weekend?

You are not staying at SSR? We have been to WDW a couple of times on Labor Day week. It is crowded over the weekend (especially at MK), but the crowds weren't that bad. The worst thing was the rain and heat!

We were there labor day 2002. The weekend itself was fairly busy. After that, no one. If you can stick around a few days after the weekend is over, the crowds are pretty much gone. (Well, it is Disney, so there are still plenty of people, but the longest line wait we had was 15 minutes).

2 lousy seasonal things for Florida. 1. Hurricane season. Usually this just means rain for Orlando (except last year, ouch!) 2. Love bugs. They don't bite, sting, or really do anything besides just be everywhere. Personally, I don't mind them, but they really are everywhere.

the Mk after the labor weekend - started to close at 6pm (don't know if it still does this)

Studio - 7pm

Epcot stayed at 9pm

AK - 5pm

Since this is part of the celebration I think the hours are longer.

Thanks for the info. I just booked at BCV for labor day. My girlfriend wants to try the pool. Also booked christmas week at SSR.
