Labor Day Weekend 2022:
Resorts: AKL Jambo and BLT
Rooms: Value and Standard
3 nights
Parks: Magic Kingdom
Fri- Drove down to AKL Jambo and got our value room ready around 4 when we arrived (pool view). We ate at Disney Springs and enjoyed our evening. It rained that night, but less of a crowd at DS!
Sat- Ate breakfast at the Mara, then DD1 wanted to eat Rainforest Cafe at AK. After a lunch/nap, we enjoyed the pools at Kidani. For dinner, we ate at Steakhouse 71 and loved the burger!
Sun- Drove over from AKL to BLT. Walked into MK for rope drop and enjoyed many rides until our room was ready around 2 (standard view). We walked to BLT for a nap/check in, then went back to MK around 5. We ate dinner in MK and enjoyed our evening until around 10. We got to ride everything we wanted and did not purchase the Genie or ILLs!
Mon- Monorailed to Poly for breakfast, ate lunch at Contempo Cafe, then drove home.
Positives: BLT walking distance, AKV Value rooms, MK Fall decorations
Negative: Too hot for DD1 in the park
Overall: We had a great time, but we will not be returning for a park stay in the heat. (we went in July for a resort only stay)
