Labor Day or Mid-October

I am planning a mom and son trip with my 12 yr old. We are from South Louisiana so hurricanes and heat are the norm for us. We went in October in 2015 and it was pretty crowded for by my standards.

Which time would be best for us to attempt this year??? We can go and spend 4-5 days there and he only has to miss one day of school. Looking to make reservations soon but waiting on school to confirm fall break dates.

Magic Kingdom two years ago on Labor Day. Its the best week of the year to go.

Dw and I have gone on Labor Day week for at least the last 5 years. Before that we would go in October , but we really love going at beginning of September. We live in Rhode Island , so , the heat is pretty intense for us , but still well worth it. Enjoy

Yeah that was two years ago.. we go every year over Labor Day and every year it gets worse... My memories from last year and 2015 are not like the picture above.. Sure its not crowded like now.. and yes some places are "empty" but the ride lines were not. I think also due to FP+
