We are going for Labor Day 2007. I would love to hear how were the crowds for Labor Day weekend 2006. And if you were there, did most people seem to leave on Labor Day?

I am thinking the same thing, so my son will only miss four days of school. Just came back from DisneyWorld (last week of September) curious to know how first week would be.

I heard from a friend who lives in the Tampa area and goes to WDW all the time that labor day crowds are usually surprisingly light. I'll be watching to see if anyone who was there in 2006 can second that.

Actual Labor Day weekend was pretty busy ( Saturday, Sunday, Monday - Labor Day ), but after that it was extremely empty in the parks!

we arrived Sun of Labor Day wkend this year. Can't remember the ime but it was definately in the evening. We went to MK since it was EMH that night. It was pretty busy, but not wall to wall people. The rides did have wait times but the youngest got sick and we had to leave, I don't remember how long they were. I do remember there was no long line for the POR bus! It was raining pretty steady so that might of kept some people away. Mon was kind of busy in the morning, but no lines that evening. The rest of the wk was great, extremely empty as posted above.

It was busy. Don't come here then. :rolleyes1

Just kidding. ;) It was busy to us.

We were there from Fri-Mon over LD weekend. I thought most of the parks were crowded, except MGM, which seemed light. It probably got crowded in the evening for Tom Joyner weekend, though. MK was pretty crowded, even in the rain. POTC wait was 30 mins; SM wait was 50 mins; Buzz wait was 30 mins, and this was in the evening. Epcot was crowded; waited 45 mins for Soarin at closing. TT was 50 min wait. AK was REALLY crowded, but I think it will stay that way for awhile until the EE buzz dies down. I think standby lines at 10 AM were 75 mins for EE.

Those may not seem like long waits to some, but they are to us. We'll just hit it next time or use an FP rather than stand that long (except Soarin'. We waited for that. What a great ride!)

We did leave on Monday, though, and we didn't hit a park before we left, so the parks might have been lighter after the weekend.
