I hope somebody can help me out.

My husband and I are considering a trip to LA and from there w want to head to Anaheim and spend a few nights at Disney.

How is the commute from LA to Anaheim? Should we rent a car and drive or should we use another method of transporation?

When will you be driving down (day and time)? Where in LA are you coming from? Could be anywhere between 40 minutes and 2 hours depending on traffic and where you start.

As of right now we will be staying at the Magic Castle Inn & Suites.
We would probably leave early or mid morning and stay at a hotel within walking distance to Disney.
Our plans are for early May to visit California.

I am tagging onto this question.... say12- 1 p.m., LAX to Harbor blvd? time?

I didn't realize the Magic Castle had a hotel, we used to have to get assess through magician friends.

It's about maybe an hour drive from Hollywood to Disneyland, not accounting for traffic (which can easily add an additional hour).

There are ways to go without a car ... one is subway from Hollywood to Union Station and Catch a 2-hour city bus that runs through downtown LA and then worms its way down to Dsineyland via Knotts, Norwalk, etc., it would be a hassle with luggage. But, Southern Califronia is automobile-centric, so renting a car or hiring a car are the prme options.
