Does anyone know when LA spring break (or the surrounding areas) is? I am visiting my friend Mar 9-14 or so, and we want to hit Disneyland... i am a WDW vet who uses a wheelchair at disney, so lower crowds are a plus... i dont want to be there if every child in LA is there too! thanks for your help!

We were there that week this year. It was NOT Spring Break for SoCal, but it WAS Spring Break for all of Texas & Arizona. Moderate crowds during the week & Heavy crowds on the weekend.

How many days are you considering? & will you be eligible for EE? (If not, go on Wed.)

I will not be eligible for EE (crashing with a friend in LA - the one i came to see... sadly this friend is not mickey mouse)... i dont feel the need to do disney the whole time, or do the whole of DLR. I am planning a longer trip out there in the future. this is mostly a couple fun days, just to hang out :)

I would probly be there Mon-Thurs. I would NOT want to be there on the weekend. if i am in town over the weekend, my friend and i will just do something else! thanks for the info

From your post I didn't think you were staying on site.

Since you want to "do" a couple of days, I would get a 2 day Park Hopper (Look at the price between a 1 & 2 day !!!)

Get to the parking garage 1 hour before opening on a non EE day (this will put you at the gate 1/2 hour before opening). Probably best on a Wed.

On the other day (if it's an EE day) head to the left side of DL at Gen. Adm. rope drop (or whenever you get there).

Hop mid day to DCA each day (it's just 100 yards!) & enjoy 10 attractions that are "do not miss" imo. (maybe 5 each day).

You can have a blast & see most everything in 2 days (mid week).

Moniter this board the month before you are going, just in case there are changes etc.

Have fun at Walt's park. :thumbsup2

The timing of Spring Break changes from year to year for many students, so what is true one year does not necessarily apply to the next.

That said:

Easter will be on March 23 in 2008. Accordingly, the L.A. Unified School District, which is the largest public school system in the state (and second largest in the country), has their Spring Break from March 17-21.

Our break is April 7-11. We are in the largest district in south OC. The district next to us has break the last week of March. I think Irvine shares our break in April.

Our school district will have Spring Break from March 10-14 next year.

Washoe County (Northern NV) is off March 10-14, 2008.

But I was looking at our approved calendars for the next two years and they are both showing the middle week in April. You definitely cannot rely on the spring break being the same from year to year.
