OK, DH and I are looking to go to Universal for a couple of days before heading over to WDW and I am looking for someplace fairly inexpensive to stay near Universal that has a free shuttle to the park (might use a cab to get home at night if we miss the last shuttle or decide to stay at City Walk). Anyone have opinions on wither the La Quinta or the Best Western near Universal? Both are about the same price per night.

I can also get the Clarion for about $88 per night, but the site mentions something about additional $$$ for incidentals like local phone (not needed - I have a nationwide cell plan) or internet (I don't go on-line on vacation).

If you think they all suck, got any other suggestions for something around $80 or so per night that includes free shuttle to the park?

TIA!

My daughter stayed at the Baymont for a night last week and said it was fine. They paid under $50/night. They had free waffles for breakfast. It is close enough to walk.

Thanks, damo! Looks like I can get this one for $70 per night in Jan on hotels.com.
