Has anybody stayed at LA Quinta Inn and Suites in Anaheim? I got a fairly great rate ($30 a night) but have heard mixed things. Is it a close walk to Disneyland, and a safe walk at that?

I know that we could see it from the candy cane, but it was a ways down the road (katella). According to map quest you could go up Clementine (the road the hotel is on) to Disney Way and it about 3/4 a mile to Disneyland. That looks faster then walking down Katella and up Harbor. Not sure how safe or unsafe the walk would be. I'm guessing it would be about 15 minutes or so. YOu might want to check trip advisor for reviews.

We walked all over that area late at night and found no problems. As with any area, common sense plays a roll.

I have never stayed there, so I can't answer your questions, but I need to know... how did you get $30.00/ nite... and what are your dates?!!:cutie:

We stayed there several years ago.

$30 per night is an AWESOME rate by the way. The rooms there were fine, but it can be a bit noisy there, and at least when we were there, the cleanliness of the rooms were questionable. (Things like vents, lamp shades, window sills, baseboards, etc, were VERY DIRTY). However, the hotel has changed ownership since we stayed there, so hopefully the cleanliness issues are no longer a problem. Heck, no matter how much dust is around, $30 per night is kinda hard to say no to.

You could walk from there, but it would be a LONG walk. I would either take the ART transportation, use a rental car, or take a taxi.

You might want to read the recent reviews on tripadvisor as well.

Have a great trip!:thumbsup2

Ditto the walking vs ART. It is a very long walk, especially after walking around the parks all day and night.

I have stayed there and it was okay, as with any other place. You may find it wonderful one time and not another time. But honestly, how much time are you going to be spending in the room? For 30.00, best place in town, lol. The ART is great to use for 3.00 a day.

We stayed there last May, and had no problems. I too heard mixed reviews so I was a little worried...Alot of the reviews I read was regarding the noise, so when we checked in I requested the top floor and heard little or no noise at all. We drove daily to the park, only because we wanted the convience of being able to leave the park and go out for lunches and dinner without having to go back to the hotel for our car. DH and DS would walk later at night, to go to the 7-11 that was done the block and had no issues.

Thanks for all the input. I've stayed at the Desert Palm Suites, which looks to be a similar distance (?) so I think I can handle the walking. I'm in my early 20's, so I still have enough energy to do some major walking if I need to.

I ended up getting the $30 rate through Priceline for next week. I somehow got lucky, as this was the first time I've ever used Priceline and didn't think I'd get something that close to Disneyland at that price.

Any other comments on the place, or testimonials from those who were able to do the walk would be great :)

We stayed there in Oct. and we thought it was great. We never walked, but drove, it was a decent hotel ....great for that price.
