It's a great show, and it will certainly help you make your mind to go see it next time in WDW.
It is very difficult for any video production to really capture any Cirque du Soleil show. The stages are large and constantly changing, and there are always a half-dozen or so other things going on in addition to the actual act that happens to be onstage at the moment.
However, I have the La Nouba DVD and it captures La Nouba much better than any other Cirque video I've seen. It's not the same as being there, and you'll miss the electricity of the crowd, but it is still a great video.
I'd recommend recording it...especially if you have kids. Then you can show it to the kids several times before you go in person and they will really get a lot more out of the live performance.
