Was thinking about taking the Red Line to the Blue Line to the Green Line
in order to get from Universal Studios (prob staying in the Hilton Universal) to LAX on a Tuesday morning, rush hour.
We were gonna aim for arriving in LAX around 9am... so that's smack dab in the middle of rush hour.
I'm worried about traffic being bad, so started researching mass transit train alternatives. I can't help it, being from NYC, I would much rather take a train to the airport during rush hour than risk being stuck in a cab/shuttle in traffic.
But, I'm not familiar with L.A.'s Metro train system, so wanted to pose this question to those of you locals who have had experience taking them: during rush hour, do the Metro trains also get delayed or held up? Am I right in thinking that they would be least susceptible to rush hour traffic?
I know it's a transfer headache, but we won't have more than 1 rolling suitcase each, so DBF and I are okay w/ 3 legs of train rides plus 1 airport G shuttle to get to the terminal.
