I have an ADR for for my husband and I at La Hacienda for 7:45pm in a few weeks. I'm not familiar with EPCOT Forever at all. Is this a good spot to view that show specifically or would we miss things from inside? Many years ago I saw Illuminations from a window seat and it was great. And is that reservation time ok to get a good viewing table or should I try for earlier? Thanks!

There are very few tables at La Hacienda that have a good view, and of course many guests request them. If the fireworks start at 9:00, I wouldn’t be surprised if the guests already seated there linger over their meal. IOW, I would have a plan B - keep the 7:45 ADR and hope for a window table, but if you’re not seated by the window, plan to watch the fireworks from somewhere else along the lagoon.

Epcot Forever is strictly a FWs show, meaning it is all in the sky. No projections, they do have some lasers that sort of shoot across but the night I was there the smoke was so dense from the FWs you really couldn't see the lasers. Since they are only FWs you can see them from anywhere as long as you don't have trees in your way. The last time they had Epcot Forever they had kites so you did sort of have to at least be around the lagoon for example: you couldn't see the kites from the bridge going to BW but you could see 80% of the FWs. This time there are no kites, we once watched the old Epcot Forever (with kites) from a bench in Canada back by the popcorn carts, there was even a festival booth in front of us, and saw the entire show easily. Bottom line: as long as you are anywhere near the lagoon and do not have trees right in front of you, you are going to see the show.
