Does anyone have any experience with L & M. Do they offer coupons, because their rates for a minivan are not bad and if I had a coupon, it would be even better.
We have used L & M several times and love them! I had read some horror stories saying to bring proof of insurance or they will force you to take theirs, but we never had that problem. As a matter of fact, they were much more low key about pushing the insurance than Alamo...a simple "no" and that was it. No lines, either. They had really nice, new cars too...the only odd thing was that they never gave us a lock key fob for any of the cars we've rented. They were nicely equipped cars so I'm sure they came with a fob, but all we got were keys. But I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

L&M's and also some other companies' rules or policies or terms do say the company reserves the right to refuse to rent to you if you don't have collision on your own car back at home.
If the rental company sold out for the time period you are renting, or if the counter agent is behind on his sales and bookings quotas, then the agent might push the insurance and coverages issue hard.
