Trying to squeeze in a flying visit on a budget for just myself and dd who will by October be 6. Got a great deal for the kyriad b&b I know reviews aren't great but would like to hear from any of you who have tried and tested it, some like to just post bad reviews!!

If you are booked in the one by Disney, I have stayed there albeit a few years back but found it ok. Clean rooms and friendly staff.

I was there in December. Very unhappy, won't be going back. Had stuff disappearing from the room, hotel couldn't have cared less.

oh dear vala thats not good, was it money, valuables..... well not that it matters nothing should go missing from your room. Its only myself and 6 year old going and want to feel safe :(

They got away with a satchel full or trading pins, that was the biggest loss. The expensive ones were in the room safe, but as that is tiny not everything fit in it. The first night a bag with charger cables (no idea if someone thought the MP3 player was hidden between), the pins and some smaller stuff disappeared. The second night it was another plastic bag with mostly food items. Which of course was completely ridiculous to have something like that disappear after I had already complained.

The hotel went as far as hinting I am lying. Not a single "sorry." Especially for the last one I would even have bought a "sorry, went in the trash by accident" story although it was nowhere near a trash can. I mean, who risks his job for stealing muesli bars? The hotel's attitude was what upset me even more than the monetary loss.

Boyfriend and I always liked it there and I had booked it as a special treat cause the Rapunzel pin event was bound to be stressful. Little did I know that the real stress was waiting in the hotel. >< From now on it's either Magic Circus or Val D'Europe if we're not going by car.

That is awful, not what you would expect from any hotel let alone a disney partner hotel.
Im starting to worry a little now :-(

I stayed for 1 night a couple of years ago and thought it was extremely good value for money so I've 5 nights booked from 29th october.

Vala's experience is dreadful, both theft and hotel's behaviour, unfortunately it's not an isolated incident i have read similar stories from other hotels including the Disney hotels.

I take a minimum of expensive items, so i can be pretty sure they'll all fit in the room safe, but i've always left lanyards in the room, i would be gutted if i lost any of my Maleficent pins, so after Vala's story they'll be in the safe next time too.

Did you have a ground floor room Vala? Was there evidence of a break in, window open or anything or do you assume they had a room key ?

Not sure if Kyriad has interconnecting rooms, but something i always check is that the interconnecting door is locked, ever since my son and niece ended up in the room next door at Hotel New Year 'Look mum more beds' :scared1:

Nope, no ground floor. Also no evidence of a break in whatsoever. Window was closed for sure, it was December after all. ;) I can't even remember if they have interconnecting rooms now. I always check the doors though if there are.

There was no evidence that the room had been seached either. I was running late that morning and had simply stuffed that plastic bag between my suitcase and a carry on bag for the train. At first I honestly thought someone may have mistaken it for trash and threw it away by accident.

We were there in 2012 and it was fine. There was a great selection of food at breakfast area, Hotel was clean, staff were fine, room was clean and loads of buses to the parks. We were happy with it.

Hi,
We've stayed there a few times, it's a great clean basic hotel. Staff were friendly and room was great for our needs. Definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

I'm sure you'll be fine, have a great trip.
