I know this was discussed recently, but I need some clarification. As I understand it, the KTTW cards that kids receive have full charging priviledges until a parent goes to Guest Services and removes them. Is that correct? If we want to put $100 on our kids' cards, do we have to set up a different account for them at Guest Services? Is cash accepted anywhere on the ship? Like at the bars for smoothies or at the arcade? Thanks for your help!

I can't answer the first part but I can tell you that cash is accepted no where on the ship except guest services to pay on your account. The KTTW card is used for everything and then you "settle" that account.

You can mark on your documents who has charging privileges and who does not. You can't back it by a certain dollar amount. You just put a credit card down and if you reach $400.00 they automatically charge that card. You can check the amounts charged any time you want - it will even list it by person. So you can just get the reports and check the amounts with your kids. Also don't worry about them losing a card and someone else using it. They always ask your room number so whoever is using it needs to know the room number.

I just wanted to add about kids and the KTTW card. This doesn't have to do with charging however.

If your kids wear any type of lanyard for their cards, make sure you mark a name on it. When they go to the clubs, the kids turn in their cards and not their lanyards. We had purchased one of the nice ones from the ship. DS turned in his card and set the lanyard next to the computer. They went to do an activity and he left it there. When he returned to the computer, it was gone.

Personally, I don't let my ds-13 have any charging priviledges. We buy him an arcade card at the beginning of the trip. We are at the shops enough together that if he wants something there, we can purchase it. On the Wonder, he really didn't seem to need to "purchase" anything anyway. Now on the 7-night, we will probably get at least one soda package so that he won't need to ask for pop.
