kroger deal - buy 10 items get $5 off - lots of items! STOCK UP TIME.

OH!! So it doesn't go by cost..........it goes by number of items bought?!?!? So I can get 10 items and get $5 back, not $10 worth of items????

Is this one time per visit?

I think you have to buy 10 $1, $1.50 or $2.00 items. That's the way I read the ad. So I bought 10 of each, maybe I didn't have to buy so much.

The best deal for me was the Minute Maid Orange Juice...it was on sale for $2.50 for a 1/2 gallon (I haven't seen it that low in forever and have stopped buying oj) and it is one of the included items. Also, the Kraft Cheese was a really good deal and also in the 10 items deal which is very good since anything dairy is so high.

you can buy ANY 10 items -- from any of the categories -- does not have to be all the same price.

Our store has a print out when you go in of all the items.

OMG  . I thought you had to buy 10 of the same item.....I went yesterday and bought 10 bags of pretzels, 10 bags of goldfish, and 10 gatorades. :scared1: No wonder the cashier looked at me funny. :rotfl2:

:rotfl: Now you will just have to go back for more:lmao: (I am going back tomorrow:confused3 )

I did the same thing. I will definately go back for the more now.

Ijust shopped there the day the ad came out and they made me have 10 items alll od the same dollar amount. So ten of the 1.00 items(I could mix and match but all had to be on sale for the same price). I shopped at two different Krogers and it was the same at both. But again super deals. The hot dogs for 1.59 is also a good deal especially with camping season approaching

I just got back.

I bought 20 items:

10 betty crocker sugar cookie mixes - free after coupon

1 windex
2 shout
2 bc blueberry muffin mixes
3 bc potatoes in a box
2 c&h sugars

after coupons, I spent $7.28

I was thrilled!

Before you flame me about the cookie mixes, I know they are not healthy for you. I have signed up for this monthly thing at school where treats are brought to the teachers, these were free after coupon, money is tight, they will be getting cookies! ;-)

The muffin mixes I hid in the back of the pantry -- saving those for a special sleepover treat when my kids have friends over.

I'm doing the cookie thing too. I think I'll end up with 8-9 free bags of cookie mix! You just mix it with water. I like to make sugar cookies (I collect cookie cutters so I have a ton) & bake them on popsicle sticks & then frost them with a simple (& cheap) royal icing (just egg white, a bit of lemon juice, & conf. sugar) and stick them in floral foam stuck in a Big Lots purchased cheap cup. With these cookies, it'll be expecially cheap present. Like under $1.00 for a super, personal, elegant gift!

Plus, I'll be getting a lot of other stuff there today too. I went last week & they let me do 30 items at a time, 10 of all different types of items, mixing and matching the $ amounts too. Then I would get $15.00 off the end plus all the coupons I had. Awesome, awesome! I ordered coupons off thecouponclippers & paid (with expotv $) to have them overnight shipped ($4.00 extra) so I'm going back over today. I'll probably end up buying 3-4 30 items worth so I'll have to keep coming in & out of the store. Hello, me again!

;)

You are not the only one who thinks this. I went to the store today and there was a college student who was purchasing 10 of the Kebler cookies!!!!!

Went last night and did this...our store was picked over though :( Very little Kraft cheese, brownie mix, Lipton Sides, and Goldfish.
I stocked up big time and was able to really clean out my coupons! Saved my $15 (not including all the coups) and now I'll go again tomorrow morning before work!

Thank goodness we didn't have any "NO BANANNAS" signs! We keep 3-4 bunches at the house because we eat them like they are going out of style! In fact, I'm having 2 today w/pb (that I got last night ;)) for lunch :)

I have .35 coupons for betty crocker potatoes in a box (scalloped) and will be .30 a box after all is said and done.

I might suggest if you can get some items for cheap that you won't use, please consider donating them to your local food pantry.

I am so glad that I saw this. I only saw the add on to the ad with a few of the items. Once I saw the inside of the real ad there is alot we could use. I went today thinking I would do 10. I did 40 items! 2 orders. And I really feel as if I could go back tomorrow. I didn't buy anything out of the ordinary really and all was a great deal without the extra $5. I had decided I would buy the stuff no matter what but they were happy to split. I had total mix and match, no certain # of anythings.

I think this is good thru Tuesday so if you haven't yet had time to go, you have a few more days.:thumbsup2

I had 10 progresso soup coupons and I got those tonight for 50 cents a can. Those are going to an elderly couple we know -- one of them is about to have surgery and they can use the soup.

We went yesterday and I got a ton of stuff for only $35. I even made a couple of bucks on some stuff. For example, the French's Mustard was $1.00, and then .50 off with the $5 off 10 items. Then, I had a .50 coupon, doubled to $1.00, making .50 off each mustard (I bought 2). Then for Pillsbury croissants, those were $1.00 and also .50 off with the $5 off 10 items. Add .25 coupon tripled to .75 and I made .25 off each of the 3 I bought. Then with discounts and coupons, I got 5 pack grands biscuits for .05 can! I bought 8 of those. I plan on going back tomorrow, I'm waiting for the early edition of the Sunday Paper.

Anyway, I checked the receipts, wondering if they would actually take full value and double/triple value of the coupons if it was more than face value and they did. I guess it's because part of the discount came from their promo of the $5 off 10 items.

So, I think I did pretty good. I ended up with 49 items which included about 8 packages of cheese, a couple cans of nuts, a few items not included in the promo and still only paid $35.00:woohoo: .

I had my DD2 and DD9 with me today, or I am sure I could have done much better.;)
However, I bought 42 items for 42.00. This is great considering I had some produce, toothpaste, card for DH, cough drops and a couple of other non-10 for 10 items.
We have enough Goldfish for my kids until they leave home.:rotfl2:

Our Kroger's ads run sunday through saturday, so it ends here today for us, but I am sure some might run differently.

Here in Indy we have till Wednesday. Ads run Thursday to Wed. They started this a few years ago. One store did it and then they all did. We are going to go today. I don't really have many coupons, but it's still a good deal on some stuff we use anyway.
