I did my grocery shopping at Kroger this afternoon and the cashier to me when she handed me my receipt that they are starting 4x fuel rewards on gift cards on Sunday.

Kroger also has an online coupon for double fuel points on Fri/Sat/Sun purchases, but you have to load the August coupon onto your card in advance. Runs through 9/1

AT giant eagle mostly in ohio and pa we get up to .20 off gallon of gasoline up to 30 gallons per transaction. per $50.00 gift card purchase./ normal food too

Ours started last week. I bought $100 for Kohls (since we were using it that day) and I got .40 for gas. I love this promo, wish they would allow the $2 off fill ups like they did last year and not limit it to $1.

For every $10 in gift cards you buy, you get 4 cents off a gallon of gas at Krogers.
Limit of either 20 or 30 gallons (I can't remember what...our gas tanks are only about 12 gallons.

So if you buy $50 in gift cards, that's 20 cents off a gallon of gas.

$100 in gift cards is 40 cents off.

$240 in gift cards is $1.00 off.

You are limited to $1.00 off a gallon of gas per fill-up. However, your points will roll over. You have until the last day of the following month to redeem your points and fill up your gas tank.

This is the first time we have the 4X fuel point promotion since they installed the pumps at one of the Krogers close to where I live. I'll buy about $700 in gift cards in anticipation of our trip in late October. Tickets are bought for most of our party, but I still have to buy for my DD and her husband. Plus two character meals.

Just a note that I am in TX and our ads run Wed-Tu, NOT Sun-Sat.

I went to Kroger here (Sunday) and bought a $15 gift card to try it out, and did not get the 4x fuel points.

BTW... here it is 1point per dollar, and at 100 points it equals 10c off. Normally groceries are 1 point/dollar and gift cards are 2 points per dollar. The promotion makes the gift cards 4 points/dollar.

$100 groceries = 100 points (10c a gallon)
$100 gift cards = 200 points (20c a gallon) -when not on sale
(during the 4x offer)
$100 gift cards= 400 points (40c a gallon)

You can only redeem points in 100 point increments. (so if you end the month with 197 points, you only get 10c off)

Points can be used in increments of 10c up to $1.00 off a gallon of gas. ($250 of gift cards would earn you 1000 points = $1.00 off) Here the limit is 35 gallons.

I have a Prius (10 gal tank) and a minivan (20 gal tank) The Kroger is 6 blocks away. When I have a $1.00 off we bring both cars to the gas station and fill them together!

Just FYI - check the dates at your local Kroger before going and purchasing the gift cards. Our Kroger is doing the 4x points from August 22-September 18.

I am going to get some baby and wedding gifts done (easy to mail a gift card too!) and some cards for our trip in two weeks. Then, we'll fill up the Suburban.

I was just going to say that! It varies by state. So if you have a Kroger where you live, look to see when it starts before you assume since it seems like people in GA are already getting the 4X fuel credits and here in Indiana it doesn't start until Thursday.

Me too. With the $1 limit, Giant Eagle ended up being the best option for us.
