Kroger 4X fuel points thru 4/5

Kroger has 4x fuel points through 4/5. I've never done this but I have a good handle on how it works but can someone check my math? So if I buy $250 in Disney gift card, that will get me 1000 fuel points, which will get me $1.00 off per gallon on a fill up. I have a 2010 Toyota Sienna and I average around 17-18 gallons per fill up when I'm empty. (I don't know how big my fuel tank is exactly).

Anyway, is it right that is a savings of approximately 6.8%? I swear I'm a decently smart person, but kind of math dumb. LOL

Yes. $1 off for every $250 in gift cards. My odyssey takes 20 gallons so I save 8% + 6% from my Amex.

Wow, you get 6% from Amex? I have a Capital One Venture Rewards card, so that gets me another 2%.

6% at grocery stores up to $6,000 per year. $75 annual fee but with a few Amex offers I cover that. I've already had $75 of credits for paying my Fios bill with my Amex this year. Also, I put money on a Kroger gift card using my Amex and use that to pay at the Kroger gas station so I get 6% off on gas too.

If you (or someone you know) has a Target redcard, save even more by buying Target gc's at Kroger during the 4x fuel points event and then use the Target gc"s on Target's website to purchase your Disney gc's and save 5%. Super cheap gas and discounted Disney gc's...double score

I went to two Kroger stores in my area yesterday and much to my dismay, not only did they move the Disney gift cards on the rack from where they had been for years, but neither one no longer carried the kind where you could add your own amount up to $500. They only had $25 or $50 (not even $100). I don't think they were out either -- it's like they don't carry that kind anymore. I did find them at Walgreen's, but it really chaps my hide that I didn't get any fuel point benefits (not going to carry around $50 cards for some fuel points). I spent $750 too, so that would have been 3,000 fuel points. Argh. Got some benefit at least on the Universal Orlando gift cards.

Our Kroger stores in southern Indiana have only ever stocked $25 and $50 Disney gc's

Our kroger used to have the add your own amount gift cards too. Last week when I was in there, they only had the $25 and $50 amounts too.

We got one on Saturday in Middle Georgia and it was the kind where you can put any amount up to $500. Your Krogers were probably just out. I hate to have to use the $25 and $50 gift cards. We have in the past just to get the 4X fuel points but it is really a pain when you start trying to use and keep up with them on vacation.
