Kona's Pineapple Macadamia Nut Pancakes

For those of you who love the pineapple macadamia nut pancakes at Kona------I am asking your help to pick this dish apart, as I cannot find the recipe anywhere.

If I recall, the actual pancake was plain. Then, crushed pineapple------do you think sweetened or unsweetened??

On top of this was the luscious macadamia nut butter. I was thinking macadamia nuts crushed into whipped butter, but again, any possibility of sweetener?? Honey, brown sugar, cinnamon??

I have had them on two occasions, but I simply cannot recall all of the flavors.

Any assistance with this recipe would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I just had this last week. There are nuts in the pancakes. I think the crushed pineapple was unsweetened, and there may be some cinnamon in the butter, but very little. They were VERY good!

I honestly don't know what's in them, but they are my most favorite breakfast at Walt Disney World. In fact, traditionally, I have them the first and last morning of each trip. Now, I'm hungry!

The pancakes are indeed loaded with the nuts! YUM! We have made them at home, just adding chopped macadamia nuts and canned crushed pineapple. Really was just as good!

Adding to say, I don't know anything about the butter, just used regular salted. Still just so good!

OK- I didn't know anything about these macadamia nut and pineapple pancakes until this thread (I LOVE BOTH) and I had not made any ADRs for breakfast, but I now have 2 for Kona. Thanks for the heads up and I can't wait!!

You can always write to the restaurant and request a copy of the recipe. I've never had them say no to any request!
