I seem to remember conflicting reports back when the sushi bar was new, but a search didn't get much for answers. Does the sushi bar do to-go orders?

Recent reports have suggested that it is possible to get sushi to go from the Kona Island sushi bar.

Last year we got sushi and brought it down to captain cooks while the kids ate from there- no problems.

YES! I am the only one in my family who enjoys sushi. One evening I ordered it to-go and took it back to my room and sat on the balcony eating sushi and people watching:goodvibes

Does anyone have a menu for the sushi here? Do they have a Spicy Tuna??

Does Cali Grill have something like this or do you need a reservation to eat anything there?

Here is a menu for the Kona Island Sushi Bar. They have a "volcano roll" with spicy tuna that I thought was fantastic.

California Grill does not have anything to go. You have to physically dine in the restaurant or lounge to try their sushi. That usually requires a reservation.

Darn- I was hoping that I could eat in the lounge at California Grill.

I think I might have to try Kona Sushi Bar to try something new. Thanks for the advice on the Volcano Roll.

You definitely can eat in the lounge at the California Grill. The last time we visited the restaurant, we made a reservation but asked to be seated in the lounge when we were escorted up. We had the Spicy Kazan roll which is nothing short of amazing. Some people have good luck getting into the lounge as a walk-up, but I recommend a reservation just in case.
