Which do you like better? Thinking of going to either before hitting MK to see the parade.

Have eaten at both: definitely Kona. We weren't impressed with The Wave's dinner, despite the good reviews. We liked breakfast at The Wave better. Kona has been hit or miss with us (Polynesian is like our "home" resort) but overall pretty good.

The menus are very different though~ you might want to go on which menu appeals to you as well.

We actually love both. Have eaten every trip at Kona-great meal everytime. Only eaten once at The Wave, but had great service, great meal and did same day adr by phone while there. I would definitely return..actually the no sugar added dessert trio is amazing!!! Both are convenient to MK also.

My biggest problem with Kona is that if you are there when the atrium is busy (i.e. when a herd of people are waiting to get into 'Ohana) the front half of Kona feels "invaded" by all those people waiting, because the front is completely open.

The Wave is tucked down in a lower floor of the Contemporary, but it's vaguely-sort-of-hip environment is sort of interesting.

If I had my kids with my, I'd go Kona. Adults, I'd lean to the Wave. I thought the food there was just a little more interesting than your typical "standard" WDW TS.
